When my youngest granddaughter was two, I decided to try to crochet her a toy. I looked online and found a pattern I didn’t think would be too hard. When Kenzi got the crocheted jellyfish she immediately named him Shelly.
Fast forward to this year….Shelly was left on the floor and the dog got a hold of him. You can imagine the carnage. I was immediately called and asked if it would be possible to fix him. He was overnight shipped to grandma for repairs. It was time to let the “operation” begin.
After Shelly was repaired my youngest grandson, who was celebrating his first birthday, got him and was playing with him. I decided I would make him his own jellyfish. Not sure what he will name him, as he isn’t talking yet. When I sent a picture of him on our family group text, my youngest son (age 32) asked if I would make him one.
What would any mother say? I sent him pictures of my yarn and asked what color he would like. When asked what he was going to name his jellyfish, he immediately replied Mayhaw. Why you may ask, because I always make mayhaw jelly for him and this is a jelly. LOL
If you are interested in crocheting your own jellyfish bloom, I have included the link to this pattern by One Dog Woof. It is an extremely easy pattern to make.
